Christine Gerwig was born near Bonn, Germany into a family of musicians. Having found her passion for the piano, she studied piano pedagogy and performance at the renowned University „Mozarteum“ in Salzburg under Alfons Kontarksy and Rolf Plagge. Mexican born pianist Efraín González has spent more than half of his life in Germany and Austria since he came to study piano at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Alfons Kontarsky and Rolf Plagge. He was also born into a family of musicians, with his mother being a professor of music for especially young children. After meeting in Salzburg, Christine and Efrain started playing in piano duo and embarked on a career as concert pianists. They have performed in Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Norway, USA, Mexico and Nepal. After their children were born, they settled in Königswinter where they started the piano school „Kleine Pianisten“. Their children Alejandro and Valeria have had lessons with their parents since they were three and are now studying piano in the Precollege in Cologne with professor Fabio Bidini. Christine and Efrain have their students performing regularly in public. Some of their former students have started musical studies in different universities and conservatories. Apart from teaching in person, they also teach children all over the world online who have great achievements in competitions and concerts.
